Bharat Biotech and Duc Minh Health Joint Stock Company donated 200,000 doses of COVAXIN vaccine for Vietnamese children

In Vietnam, Bharat Biotech has a strong cooperation relationship with Duc Minh Medical Joint Stock Company in the commercialization of the INDIRAB vaccine (inactivated rabies vaccine).

  According to Ms. Suchitra Ella, CEO of Bharat Biotech, Bharat Biotech and Duc Minh Health Joint Stock Company donated 200,000 (two hundred thousand) doses of COVAXIN vaccine to Vietnamese children as discussed with National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, last Thursday.
  
  
  
  
  
  This donation represents a goodwill gesture providing access to Bharat Biotech's COVAXIN vaccine developed in India, approved by WHO, to combat the global COVID-19 pandemic. COVAXIN has been approved by the Ministry of Health of Vietnam on the Emergency Use List (EUL) for people over 18 years old.
   
  Bharat Biotech was invited by the Embassy of Vietnam to attend a face-to-face meeting with the President of the National Assembly to discuss methods of cooperation, supply and technology transfer.
   
  Ms. Ella said: “It is an honor for us to serve Vietnam in such a way, and I look forward to COVAXIN's contribution to help advance the country's national immunization program and help with post-coronavirus recovery. Translate."

  Bharat Biotech's COVAXIN vaccine has completed Phase 2 and Phase 3 trials for children between the ages of 2 and 18 years. The data has been submitted to the Central Drug Standards Control Organization (CDSCO) and is awaiting final approval. Once approved, children will also have access to COVAXIN.
   
  In Vietnam, Bharat Biotech has had a strong cooperation relationship with Duc Minh Medical Joint Stock Company in the commercialization of the INDIRAB vaccine (inactivated rabies vaccine). Duc Minh is the distribution partner of Bharat Biotech in Vietnam.
   
  Bharat Biotech has been providing INDIRAB to serve the rabies vaccination program of Vietnam.
